AJK condemns attacks on journalists in the north

The Association of Journalists of Kosovo (AJK) has reacted after journalists covering today’s tensions in northern part of Kosovo have been attacked by protestors, Gazeta Express reports. The AJK in a press release said that protesters attacked journalists of various media at the Bosniaks Neighbourhood in Mitrovica North and Leposavic. The AJK called on Kosovo Police to provide security for journalists.

Covering today’s operation of the Kosovo Police in the north, journalists and cameramen have been attacked by protestors. T7 journalist, Clirimtar Morina, reported that the protestors threw three hand grenades towards them. The Kosovo Police in a statement confirmed that protestors who blocked roads have used shock bombs, hand grenades and firearms. /GazetaExpress/
