Eight new coronavirus cases confirmed in Kosovo, bringing total to 71

Kosovo’s National Institute of Public Health confirmed Wednesday that eight people have been tested positive for coronavirus, bringing the total to 71, Gazeta Express reports.

“Today, on 25.03.2020 the Institute has tested 34 samples taken from cases hospitalised in the Infectious Diseases Clinics and from the field. Out of these samples eight have been tested positive,” the Institute said in a press conference. Confirmation of the new cases brings the total number of those confirmed positive for COVID-19 to 71. According to the Institute, all cases are contacts of already confirmed cases – four have been tested positive in Domanek, Malisheva municipality, three cases in Pristina, and one case in Studime e Ulet, Vushtrri. From 08.02.2020 until 25.03.2020 authorities have tested 766 samples and 71 out of them have been tested positive. /GazetaExpress/
