Kosovo PM Kurti asks Minister Melanie Huml opening of a Bavarian economic office in Pristina

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti hosted Friday State Minister for European and International Affairs of Bavaria, Melanie Huml, thanking her for the ongoing support and German investments in Kosovo, Gazeta Express reports.

According to Prime Minister’s Office kurti and Huml discussed cooperation with emphasis on economic investments and in the field of vocational education and training, Gazeta Express reports. Kurti said that presence of Kosovo diaspora in Bavaria and this strong connection is a good chance to increase investments of Bavaria, but also of Germany in general. “As the first outcome of the close cooperation with the diaspora in Germany, Prime Minister Kurti, emphasized the memorandum of understanding signed between the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the ‘Besa Foundation’ in the field of Vocational Education and Training. This Memorandum of Understanding will support cooperation between relevant actors, in order to facilitate and implement the national dialogue in the Republic of Kosovo,” according to the press release.

Kurti said that the German model of dual education system has proved successful and asked Bavaria to help with experience and support in this field. Another aspect that would contribute to the increase of investments, according to Kurti, would be the opening of a Bavarian economic office in Pristina. /GazetaExpress/
