Executive Director of the Kosovo Law Centre (KLC) in Belgrade, Natasa Kandic, has reacted after Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has awarded Austrian writer and Nobel Laureate Peter Handke regarded by many in the Western Balkans as an apologist for Serb war crimes and supporter of ex-Serbian president Slobodan Milosevic.

Kandic in a statement posted on Twitter said that Vucic with his gesture has started a war against civilized world, neighbors and people in Serbia who as Kandic said “bear the shame of committed genocide and mass crimes of Serbian forces during the war in 90s. “No hope in sight!” Kandic wrote.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic presented one of Serbia’s highest decorations to controversial Nobel literature laureate Peter Handke. At a ceremony held in Belgrade on Sunday, Serbia’s Karadjordje Star was awarded to the Austrian writer who is seen by many as an apologist for Serb war crimes and a supporter of late Serbian strongman Slobodan Milosevic. /GazetaExpress/
