President Osmani welcomes OIC resolution calling on all its members to recognize Kosovo

President Vjosa Osmani has welcomed the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) resolution calling on all its members to recognize the independence of Kosovo.

“I welcome and commend the OIC resolution calling on members that are yet to recognize the irreversible independence of the Republic of Kosovo to do so, and supporting Kosovo memberships to international organisations. We look forward to working with member states to foster closer relations.,” President Osmani wrote on Twitter.

According to the resolution that Osmani published on Twitter the OIC calls upon the Member States of the IC to consider recognizing of Kosovo based on their free and sovereign rights as well as other national practices.

The resolution also welcomes the European Union efforts to advance European perspective of Kosovo and supports Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue. Also, the OIC, welcomes economic cooperation between Kosovo and OIC Member States. /GazetaExpress/
