President Vjosa Osmani received today the diplomatic credentials of Tamar Ziv, Israel’s first Ambassador to Kosovo, Gazeta Express reports.

President Osmani reminded of friendly relations between people of Kosovo and Israel way before the two countries established diplomatic relations. She said that Kosovo is ready to deepen cooperation with Israel in economy, security, intelligence, health, and education.

Kosovo President has also asked the support of Israel on getting new recognitions and membership into international organisations. She also asked Israel to wave visas for Kosovo citizens, according to the President’s Office statement.

Israeli Ambassador to Kosovo, Ziv has thanked the people of Kosovo for their support and expressed readiness for deepening of cooperation between the two countries.

Kosovo and Israel have officially established diplomatic relations in February 2021. The decision on mutual recognition between Kosovo and Israel was achieved in September 2020 at a summit of Kosovo-Serbia leaders at the White House in the presence of then-US president Donald Trump. /GazetaExpress/
