Kosovo Parliament fails to vote a Law on protection of KLA values

The Parliament of Kosovo Thursday has failed to vote the Draft Law on Protection of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) Values.

Out of 68 MPs present during plenary session today, only 35 voted in favour, and one vote was against. The Draft Law, sponsored by the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) in  opposition, was criticised by international community in Kosovo, including the US Embassy, German Embassy, EU Office in Kosovo, claiming that some of the provisions of the law undermine freedom of expression.

The opposition MPs of Vetevendosje and most of MPs of the ruling coalition party – LDK have boycotted the voting. /GazetaExpress/
