Srpska List leader, Goran Rakic, threatened that Serbs might resign from Kosovo institutions if the Court of Appeals confirms the sentence against their member and ex-minister in Kosovo Government, Ivan Todosijevic. The Basic Court in Pristina has sentenced Thursday former Kosovo Serb minister to two years in prison for inciting ethnic hatred.

Todosijevic in March 2019 attending a rally organised by local Serbs in northern part of Kosovo denied a massacre of Kosovo Albanian civilians in Recak in 1999, and called Albanians “terrorists.”

Rakic who is mayor of Mitrovica North said on Thursday that Todosijevic’s sentence will be remembered as a stain in Kosovo’s judiciary. He said that if the Court of Appeals, as the second instance court confirms Todosijevic’s sentence, he will call all Serbs to quit Kosovo institutions. Rakic said today’s Court’s ruling deprived Serbs from their right of freedom of expression and as he said, telling the truth.

Former minister of Local Government Administration, Ivan Todosijevic, has been sentenced to two years’ imprisonment found guilty of national, racial, religious and ethnic hatred when he denied the Recak massacre. /GazetaExpress/
