Kosovo Parliament fails to pass Law on protection of KLA values

Kosovo Parliament failed Friday to pass the Draft Law on Protection of the Kosovo Liberation Army’s Values.

Only 33 MPs in a 120-seated Parliament of Kosovo voted in favour. “33 votes in favour, no vote against or abstention,” said Speaker Vjosa Osmani after the voting.

The draft law proposed by the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) in opposition, has been criticized by internationals and civil society organisations claiming that some of provisions of the draft law threaten freedom of speech and create opportunities to intimidate potential witnesses in trials involving ex-KLA members. /GazetaExpress/
