US Ambassador, Philip Kosnett, has commended the decision of Kosovo Government taken Friday not to use 5G devices from untrusted vendors.
“We commend Kosovo for ensuring its 5G networks are on a clean path, free of untrusted vendors, in line with the Washington Agreements. We will continue working together toward secure regional communications integration & expansion of Kosovo’s digital economy,” Kosnett wrote on Twitter.
Prime Minister, Avdullah Hoti, after meeting Friday the representatives of the Regulatory Authority of Electronic and Postal Communications (RAEPC) said that Kosovo will stop using 5G devices which come from untrusted vendors. PM Hoti’s decision is part of the commitments of the Washington agreement reached on September 4, where Kosovo committed to prohibit the use of 5G equipment from untrusted vendors, or to remove such equipment if it is already in place. /GazetaExpress/
