Kosovo Dialogue Coordinator not transparent, opposition parties say

Kosovo State Coordinator in Dialogue with Serbia, Skender Hyseni, has travelled to Washingt on Saturday when he will meet senior US officials aimed at coordination of the dialogue process.

But opposition party of Vetevendosje and junior coalition partner – AAK do not know which topics will be discussed in this meeting. The Vetevendosje MP, Albulena Haxhiu, told KTV that Hyseni lacks legitimacy to negotiate on behalf of Kosovo.

Hyseni represented the experts level team of Kosovo in the EU-facilitated dialogue with Serbia on Thursday and stated that they are discussing elements of a final comprehensive agreement. But the Vetevendosje MP Haxhiu says that Hyseni is not transparent of what is being discussed in Brussels.

Also, the junior coalition partner in Avdullah Hoti’s government – the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) says that they have not been informed on Hyseni’s official trip to Washington. Political analysts told KTV that the LDK-led Government has no legitimacy to negotiate with Serbia and lacks support of Kosovo citizens. Analyst Krenar Shala, says that Kosovo needs a new government to conclude the dialogue with Serbia. Lonora Kryeziu from the NGO PIPS, says the US involvement in dialogue is good news for Kosovo
