US Embassy in Pristina in a Tweet confirmed that the Department of Energy led interagency delegation met with PM Hoti to discuss US support for energy diversification and next steps for a resource management feasibility study on Lake Ujmani/Gazivode. The US Embassy said that today’s visit of the US delegation is another demonstration of the United States commitment to full implementation of the White House Washington Agreements and economic normalization between Kosovo and Serbia.

Lake Ujman/Gazivoda was among the items in the documents that Kosovo and Serbia signed in Washington on September 4. Lake Ujman covers an area of about 12 square kilometers. Slightly more than nine are on the territory of Kosovo, while the rest are in Serbia property.
