Kosovo FM asks visa liberalisation in Thessaloniki Summit

Foreign Minister and Diaspora, Glauk Konjufca, said on Monday in Greece that Kosovo remains committed to its European integration path and continuation of reforms. He also asked for visa liberalisation of Kosovo citizens.

Konjufca attended the conference on the European prospects of the Western Balkans “From Thessaloniki to Zagreb,” which was held in that Greek coastal city. “Among other things I have requested a positive decision on visa liberalisation for Kosovo citizens in order for the young and perspective people not to remain isolated. I assured also that economic and social development, good neighbourly relations and dialogue with Serbia are long-term goals of the new Government to contribute to peace in the region,” Konjufca wrote in Facebook.

Konjufca also welcomed the new European Commission methodology on EU accession and welcomed preparations for the EU and Western Balkans summit set to be held in May 2020 in Zagreb. /GazetaExpress/
