Negotiations on forming new Kosovo Government between Vetevendosje and Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) ended Monday without results, Gazeta Express reports.

Vetevendosje leader Albin Kurti after meeting the LDK chairman Isa Mustafa told media that he will maintain contacts with Mustafa after today’s talks ended without concrete results to form new Government. The Vetevendosje won Kosovo elections held on 6 October and Albin Kurti was proposed by the Vetevendosje to form new government. “When we have a full agreement we will reveal it. Today’s meeting ended and I am in direct contact with the LDK chairman to schedule next meeting in order to continue talks until reaching an agreement,” Kurti said.

The LDK chairman, Isa Mustafa, after meeting Kurti said that the meeting was substantial, but they disagreed on “certain topics.” He confirmed disagreements with the Vetevendosje. “We had a substantial meeting, because without such talks it is difficult to reach a sustainable cooperation in the future. We have an agreement on government program, but there are some other issues we have discussed today which needs to be negotiated. Today there is no agreement on coalition, but there is an accord to work and find ways which bring us closer to reaching a deal,” Mustafa said.

The two parties held several meetings at the level of experts and managed to harmonize programs. But the Vetevendosje and LDK are negotiating ministerial posts and president’s position after two years after mandate of current president expires. /GazetaExpress/
