Kosovo Police patrolling in Karaceva

The Kosovo Border Police on Friday were seen patrolling the area of Karaceva when last week presence of Serbian Gendarmerie caused concern among residents of this border village.

According to photos shared online the Kosovo Border Police patrols equipped with long weapons went on patrol to offer security.

The NATO-led force in Kosovo – KFOR announced Thursday that they will start joint patrols with the Kosovo Police, after the presence of Serbian Gendarmerie triggered reaction of local residents who protested asking Kosovo authorities to offer them security. KFOR in a statement Thursday said the Regional Command East of the NATO-led KFOR mission has begun to plan joint operational activities in Kamenica with the Kosovo Border Police. On 8 August, Serb uniformed members were seen patrolling in an inhabited area of the Karaceva village, which is part of the Kamenica municipality. /GazetaExpress/
