Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic told media on Thursday that one of the great powers is initiate a request demanding withdrawal of KFOR and UNMIK from Kosovo, adding that he will ask NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg to try to prevent their withdrawal from Kosovo.

Vucic, without naming the “great power” which is expected to makt this demand stated that this “would be an absolute catastrophe for us” if implemented. “I don’t know if they are aware of what that would mean and I am very worried,” he said during a visit to a vaccination centre in Belgrade. Vucic said that the information came from intelligence sources but refused to comment further.

The Serbian President said that the authorities in Pristina planned an annual budget of 100 million Euro for the Kosovo military. “That should not scare us. It’s up to us to keep the peace and have a strong military,” Vucic said.

Vucic said he would be going to Slovenia on Sunday for a summit of the presidents of the countries of the Western Balkans, which would include Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani and Stoltenberg. “It should be interesting,” he said. /GazetaExpress/
