Kosovo with full reciprocity with Serbia instead of tax

Parliament Speaker, Vjosa Osmani, said new Government will replace 100 percent tax on Serbian goods with complete reciprocity between Kosovo and Serbia. She made the comments after a meeting with the German Ambassador to Kosovo, Christian Heldt.

“As you know our joint government program has been presented by Prime Minister Albin Kurti at the Assembly on 3 February and he made it clear that the tariffs will be replaced with reciprocity measures,” Osmani said answering journalists’ questions. She said relations between Kosovo and Serbia should be based on this principle, applicable in every democratic state. In order for Kosovo to drop tariffs, Serbia should stop its illegal campaign against Kosovo’s statehood which has undermined the dialogue, Osmani stated. Kosovo-Serbia dialogue facilitated by the European Union has stalled after former prime minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, introduced a 100 percent tax on all Serbian imports to counter Belgrade’s aggressive campaign against Kosovo. /GazetaExpress/
