Albanian president thanks Kosovo for helping relieve the earthquake’s aftermath

Albanian president, Ilir Meta, during a visit to Kosovo on Wednesday has awarded all members of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) who helped Albanian authorities after devastating earthquake hit coastal town of Durres before dawn on November 26 leaving 51 people dead and hundreads wounded.

Albanian president thanked Kosovo Security Force and other authorities for their solidarity, and praised the KSF for their professionalism shown during search-and-rescue operations in Albania. “In profound gratitude for the sacrifices and brotherly solidarity, the unmatched readiness and the extraordinary professionalism shown in the early moments after the 26 November earthquake, I had the honour to praise today in Pristina, the Security Forces, the Police Operational Unit and all Kosovo search and rescue teams. Thank You Kosovo”,” Meta said in a ceremony held in Pristina which was attended by Kosovo’s outgoing prime minister Ramush Haradinaj.
