US officials believe Kosovo PM Kurti lied to them

Reliable sources told Gazeta Express that Kosovo Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, is in serious trouble with the US because he had lied to them about the tax on Serbian goods and he is relying on Europeans instead of Americans.

“A number of US officials believe that Kurti lied to them about the tax and that he does not deserve to hold the prime minister’s post,” said the sources. The US officials are urging newly appointed Kosovo Prime Minister Kurti to drop punitive tariffs against Serbia and give up his plans to introduce full political, trade and economy reciprocity instead. Kurti who took the office as country’s prime minister on 4 February has pledged to replace 100 percent tax on Serbian goods with the full reciprocity.  The US urged Kurti’s Government to drop the tariffs and resume dialogue on normalisation of relations.

A source told Gazeta Express that Kurti has made it clear to Americans that he is relying on Europeans instead. “Kurti has given indications to the US that he will rely on Europeans instead of Americans,” the sources said. /GazetaExpress/
