US: Donation of vaccine doses will allow Kosovo to protect its citizens faster

The US Department of State has reacted after donation of 503,100 doses of Pfizer vaccines to Kosovo through the COVAX mechanism. In a Facebook post, the US Department of State said the donated doses will allow Kosovo to protect its citizens faster.

“With the rise of more infectious COVID-19 strains like Delta, today’s donation of 503,100 Pfizer vaccine doses will allow Kosovo to protect its citizens faster. A healthy, independent, resilient Kosovo is a stronger partner for the United States,” the Department of State posted on Facebook.

Also, the US Embassy in Pristina said the donated vaccines will save lives, are safe and hioghly effective.

“Today the United States donated an additional 503,100 lifesaving, safe, and highly effective Pfizer vaccine doses to Kosovo. Including the August 20 first tranche, the United States has delivered over 538,200 doses to protect Kosovans. #SleeveUp https://xk.usembassy.gov/vacc2/,” the US Embassy in Pristina wrote on Facebook.
