UNMIK condemns the attacks against Kosovo Police in the north

Head of UNMIK Caroline Ziadeh has condemned the attacks against Kosovo Police in northern part of the country. She called for the perpetrators to be held accountable, Gazeta Express reports

Head of UNMIK said that rule of law is fundamental to peace and security. “SRSG Ziadeh strongly condemns the attacks against the Kosovo police in recent days and calls for the perpetrators to be held accountable. The rule of law is fundamental to peace and security. We call on all to exercise restraint and avoid any further escalation,” according to a statement issued by UNMIK.

Condemning the attack also the US Embassy in Pristina, EU Office in Kosovo and KFOR, called for restraint to avoid further escalations.

The Kosovo Police have reported five attacks against their officers in northern part of the country over the last four days. /GazetaExpress/
