Protest in Skopje escalates

The protest organised Friday in Skopje against conviction of six Albanians accused of murdering five Macedonians in 2012 has escalated after the protestors started throwing stones at the police cordon.

As the protesters were dispersing, the police blocked them prompting their reaction throwing stones and bricks towards the police. Currently the police is dispersing the protest.

After full eight years since the murder of five Macedonians in 2012 and more than two years since the start of the defendants’ retrial, last week a court in Skopje found guilty five Albanians from North Macedonia of being involved in these murders. /GazetaExpress/
