PM Hoti addresses Kosovo Army, says KLA war was just

Kosovo prime minister, Avdullah Hoti, said Friday the Government of Kosovo is committed to development and modernization of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF). Hoti made the statement addressing the Kosovo Army members in a ceremony marking the Day of KSF, Gazeta Express reports.

“Allow me that on the Day of KSF to express my gratitude and thank to all friendly countries who helped the KSF become one of the most credible institutions making us all proud. The Government of Kosovo is committed to developing and modernization of the KSF,” Hoti said.

According to Kosovo PM the KSF slowly is setting the contours of a real army. Hoti during his speech said that Kosovo is committed to peace and good neighbourly relations. He said that Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) 1998-1999 war was just and was about freedom and independence.

“The Republic of Kosovo will be integrated into the European Union. We are committed to reaching an agreement with Serbia to solve all outstanding issues. The Republic of Kosovo has proven that it is for pace and good neighbourly relations. The people of Kosovo and the KLA have done a just war to defend their homes and have freedom and independence,” Hoti stated. In December 2018 the Parliament of Kosovo adopted three laws on the Kosovo Security Force, giving the lightly armed force the attributes of an army. /GazetaExpress/
