Four Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) of the Green Party have sent an open letter to Kosovo president Hashim Thaci asking him to respect the country’s Constitution after no-confidence vote in Government.
The four MEPs express concerns of the Green Party with the political situation in Kosovo. “The no-confidence vote against Prime Minister Albin Kurti’s Government is a seatback for political stability in the Western Balkans at a time when cohesion is urgently needed. Recent claims about possible constitutional changes through 82 Members of Parliament further are a reason for concern for us,” it is written in the letter. MEPs called on president Thaci to ensure a functioning Government in this time of crisis that reflects the results of the last elections.
