Lajcak’s flight to Kosovo cancelled; he is expected to arrive on Tuesday and bring dates on resumption of EU-facilitated Dialogue
special representative on Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, is expected
to arrive in Pristina on Tuesday after his flight was cancelled Monday. He is expected
to bring dates for the resumption of the EU-facilitated Dialogue.
EU for several years has facilitated the Dialogue and was aiming reaching of a
final agreement between the two countries and continuation of the European
path. But the United States has taken a leading role after appointing Ambassador
Richard Grenell, as a special envoy on Dialogue. In a statement posted on
Twitter on Monday Grenell said that has invited representatives of Kosovo and
Serbia at Washington on 27 June to resume the dialogue.
EU Office in Kosovo says that they cannot comment on the activities of others.
Spokesperson of the EU Office in Kosovo, Dinka Zivalj, told Gazeta Express that Lajcak will be in Pristina on Tuesday to discuss modalities and bring dates for the resumption of the EU-facilitated Dialogue.
Mr Lajcak’s flight from Zurich got cancelled. We are working on ensuring that
he will be able to be in Kosovo with the slightest delay possible. Mr Lajcak is
committed to be in Kosovo by tomorrow. Once on the ground, he will meet with
his interlocutors to discuss timing and modalities for a swift resumption of
the Dialogue,” Zivalj said.

the activities of others. EUSR Lajčák will be in Pristina tomorrow to discuss
modalities and he brings dates for the resumption of the EU-facilitated
Dialogue, a process which has delivered very real results for the people in
