Kurti signs petition asking snap election a day after leaving Prime Minister’s Office

Former prime minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, signed on Thursday a petition launched by his party, the Vetevendosje, asking for snap election. Kurti called on citizens to sign the petition all over Kosovo.  

“Elections are our political goal because elections are the violated democratic principle. I call on all citizens to sign the petition in the squares of their respective towns,” Kurti wrote on Facebook.

The Parliament of Kosovo voted on Wednesday a new Government headed by Avdullah Hoti of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK). In March, the Parliament ousted Kurti’s Government after a successful no confidence vote triggered by his former coalition partner the LDK. /GazetaExpress/
