The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti together with the government members has started the second working day at the head of the Government by paying homage to Prekaz memorial.
“Yesterday we took over the new Government that was voted in the Assembly of Kosovo on Monday. Today, on the first day of work with the deputy prime ministers and ministers, we arrived early in the morning in Prekaz, the place of sacrifice and unification, where three generations of the Jashari family were killed by Serbian forces,” he said.
“This case made the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) react and alarmed the international community, which on 24 March sent the most powerful alliance in the history of mankind against a genocidal state such as Milosevic’s Serbia.” Kurti also said that justice has not yet been done for the Jashari family and many other families. Kurti was referring to the NATO’s 78-day bombing campaign against Serbian military and police forces, which began on24 March 1999 and ended with an agreement on withdrawal of Serbian forces from Kosovo and restoring of peace.
On 5 March 1998, Serbian military and police forces attacked Prekaz killing one of the founders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), Adem Jashari and 58 members of his family in their house. /GazetaExpress/
