Kosovo’s outgoing PM talks on the phone with Chancellor Merkel
Kosovo’s outgoing prime
minister, Avdullah Hoti, spoke on the phone with the German Chancellor Angela
Merkel, about the current political developments, dialogue with Serbia and cooperation,
the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement.
The Prime Minister’s
Press Service said that Hoti valued Germany’s contribution on state-building of
Kosovo and strengthening of its democratic institutions. Hoti informed Merkel
on measures taken by the Government of Kosovo in minimizing the COVID-19
pandemic effects, in both health and economy, according to the statement.
“PM Hoti assured
Chancellor Merkel that the caretaker Government of Kosovo is committed to carrying
out all obligations and responsibilities as foreseen by the Constitution and
will continue constructive cooperation with international community,” according
to the press release.
Outgoing PM Hoti and
Chancellor Merkel discussed also on the Dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia
facilitated by the European Union. On this occasion PM Hoti thanked Merkel for
supporting the dialogue process. Hoti and Merkel discussed also on relations
between the two countries and deepening of cooperation, the Government of Kosovo
