Kosovo’s caretaker prime minister Albin Kurti whose government was toppled Wednesday in a no-confidence vote in Parliament said, “the fall was inevitable for a necessary comeback.”

Kurti through a Facebook post said the meaning of no-confidence vote was sending a message to the US special envoy on Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Richard Grenell, that “80 MPs are ready for an agreement on exchange of territories,” that Kurti believes was already reached between presidents Hashim Thaci of Kosovo and Aleksandar Vucic of Serbia.

“The goal of no-confidence vote was weakening the governance rather than ousting the government. Whereas the meaning of the no-confidence motion was a message to Ambassador Grenell: Kosovo has more than 80 MPs ready to risk lives of citizens by approving the territorial exchange of presidents,” Kurti said. The Vetevendosje leader said that he will remain a caretaker prime minister and continue fighting the coronavirus pandemics. “Let’s be close to people, Kosovo is our home after all,” Kurti said. /GazetaExpress/
