Kosovo’s Ambassador to the US, Vlora Citaku, filed a complaint against Serbia’s Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic to the UN Security Council (UNSC) for publishing her birth certificate and saying she still is Serbian citizen, but her claim was rejected since China and Russia vetoed it, media in Belgrade are reporting.
During a meeting of the UNSC discussing regular quarterly report on Kosovo, Dacic presented a birth certificate alleging that Ambassador Citaku is citizen of Serbia. Citaku accused Dacic of publishing private information and of an “aggressive tone” during the UN Security Council session in November. London supported the charge, but Beijing and Moscow voted against, media in Belgrade report. Dacic said Citaku charged him because he said she still held Serbia’s citizenship and promised to provide a list of all Serbia’s citizens from Kosovo who worked at the UN. “The fact is that they hold our citizenship while working against Serbia. That is important since it concerns the issue of status (of Kosovo),” Dacic said. /GazetaExpress/
