Kosovo Veterans propose War Crimes Court in the Hague to deal also with Serbian crimes

The Association of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) Veterans, on Friday submitted an initiative in Parliament asking caucuses to initiate amending/supplementing the Law on Kosovo Specialist Chambers, mandating the war crimes court at the Hague to prosecute and try also Serbian crimes committed in Kosovo during 1998-1999 war.

Deputy head of the Association of KLA Veterans, Nasim Haradinaj, said that they requested the Specialist Chambers to open their office in Kosovo and to have an exact address. He said the Court should also allow KLA veterans to monitor the work of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers.

Haradinaj said that their initiative is only about amending the law and not abrogating it and called on MPs to support the initiative. An early initiative of KLA Veterans to abrogate the law has collapsed after was harshly criticised by international community. /GazetaExpress/
