Slobodan Petrovic has offered his resignation as leader of the Independent Liberal Party in Kosovo (SLS) a political entity gathering Serbs in Kosovo. This was confirmed during Tuesday’s meeting of the SLS.
Petrovic thanked all members of this party for their engagement and support. The SLS during October elections in Kosovo has not managed to win any of 10 reserved seats for Serbian community in a 120-seated Parliament of Kosovo. All reserved seats were won by the Srpska List, a political entity backed by Belgrade which was rival to Petrovic’s party during 6 October early elections held in Kosovo. Petrovic speaking before members of his party said he took very difficult decisions over the last 14 years he headed the SLS, adding the decision to resign was the most difficult so far. /GazetaExpress/
