Kosovo Serb convicted of war crimes in Krusha e Vogel

The Basic Court in Prizren
on Monday found guilty Kosovo Serb man Darko Tasic, of committing war crimes
against his Albanian neighbors in the village of Krusha e Vogel sentencing him
to 22 years imprisonment, Gazeta Express reports.
According to the
indictment Tasic, who was member of the Serbian police forces in March 1999,
was accused of desecrating bodies of Albanians by burning their remains jointly
with other police and paramilitary forces and dumping them in the Drin river, in a location outside
the village.
Dozens of family
members of the victims protested outside the Court asking for capital
punishment of their former neighbor who on 26 and 27 March 1999 jointly with
other members of Serbian police, military and paramilitary forces was involved
in killing of 109 people of this village. /GazetaExpress/
