US Embassy in Pristina has published a video showing members of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) supporting the Iowa National Guard’s response efforts to COVID-19. The US Embassy said that after graduating a mechanic course on Camp Dodge, two Kosovo Security Force members found themselves stuck in Iowa due to COVID-19 travel restrictions so they went to work supporting the 734th Regional Support Group’s COVID-19 response efforts.
“The partnership between the U.S. and the KSF continues to grow as members, who completed training in March and await flights back to Kosovo, continue to work on U.S. vehicles and support the Iowa National Guard’s response efforts to COVID-19,” the US Embassy said.
“As the KSF continues their transition and develop their National Guard, support to civilian authorities and humanitarian assistance operations will be essential. Watch the mechanics from Iowa and KSF as they develop lasting interoperable practices, trust in each other’s abilities, and a longstanding friendship during this challenging time. #TogetherWeCan defeat COVID-19,” the US Embassy said in a statement. /GazetaExpress/
