Kosovo reports three new coronavirus deaths

Three more people have died in Kosovo from coronavirus, bringing the countrywide death toll to 110. The University Clinical Centre of Kosovo has announced that in its main centre in capital Pristina and in seven regional hospitals they are treating 300 patients with coronavirus.

On Monday, the National Institute of Public Health confirmed 187 new COVID-19 cases bringing country’s total to 5,118. The Institute said that the number of coronavirus active cases in Kosovo is 2,640. Health authorities announced that as of Wednesday the Institute will update its COVID-19 data at 15:00 as part of a new awareness strategy to prevent further spread of COVID-19.

The Government has announced that wearing masks in public is mandatory whereas the Kosovo Police have issued fines for those not respecting the new measures. Capital Pristina continues to be the municipality with the highest rate of infections. /GazetaExpress/
