Kosovo relaxes COVID-19 restrictions, opening restaurants and malls

Kosovo relaxed some of the coronavirus restrictions opening bars, restaurants, and shopping malls.

The Kosovo government earlier decided to close all restaurants, and introduced a movement of restriction from 22:00 to 05:00 during 7-18 April.

The Government of Kosovo during a meeting on Sunday evening has approved new COVID-19 measures which will enter into force on 19 April (Monday).

Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, said that all private and public schools will open, whereas bars and restaurants will be allowed to work until 22:00. The takeaway service will be allowed after 22:30, but businesses should be equipped with a special permission.  

The movement restriction will remain into force from 22:30 until 05:00.

The National Institute of Public Health has reported Sunday 11 additional deaths caused by COVID-19, and 364 new confirmed cases.

The latest data bring country’s total of cases to 101,517 and 2,072 deaths. /GazetaExpress/
