Kosovo reburies seven Krusha e Vogel massacre victims

The remains of seven victims of the Kosovo war, identified recently as victims of the Krusha e Vogel massacre, have been reburied on Saturday on 23rd anniversary of one of the one of the most horrible massacres during Kosovo war when Serbian forces killed 112 Albanian civilians, Gazeta Express reports.

The reburial ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Speaker of the Assembly Glauk Konjufca his deputy Saranda Bogujevci, Minister of Justice Albulena Haxhiu and Chairman of the Government’s Committee on Missing Persons, Andin Hoti.

Kurti said that in Krusha e Vogel were killed 112 Albanians, or 70 percent of men and boys of the village from 13 to 77 year. On this massacre 82 women lost their husbands, and 145 children lost their fathers. Additionally Serbian forces destroyed 145 houses, only eight houses were not burned or destroyed by Serbian forces.

On Saturday Kurti and other institutional leaders attended a commemoration ceremony in neighbouring Krusha e Madhe marking 23rd anniversary of the massacre in t his village where 241 Albanian civillains were killed by Serbian forces from25 to 26 March 1999. Kurti in his speech pledged justice for Kosovo’s war crimes victims. /GazetaExpress/
