Kosovo President says PM Kurti sent threatening letter to himself

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci says it was caretaker prime minister Albin Kurti and his party the Vetevendosje who wrote a threatening letter that arrived in Kurti’s address on Tuesday.

Caretaker PM Kurti in a statement posted on Tuesday on Facebook said that a phantom-organization called “The Albanian Volunteers’ Guard” sent him a threatening letter. But President Thaci says the letter was written by Kurti himself. “The communique of the Albanian Volunteers Guard was written by Kurti in the hedqaurters of his party. The source of everything is in his party’s headquarters, from him personally and people around him,” Thaci said in an interview with Klan Kosova which will be aired tonight.

Asked whether he will accept a TV duel with Kurti, Thaci said that he would like to have “a very relaxing debate” with the caretaker PM. “Such a duel would be very relaxing, and I might say entertaining,” Thaci told Klan Kosova. /GazetaExpress/
