Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has commemorated the massacres of Serbian forces committed in the villages of Rahovec area from 25-27 March 1999 where hundreds of Albanian civilians were killed and most of the villages were burned to the ground, Gazeta Express reports.
Osmani said that the three days of terror are the testimony of the savagery of Serbian genocidal regime attacking civilians of these villages. “Krusha e Madhe, Krusha e Vogel, and surrounding villages are the testimony for the price of freedom and sacrifice. These places evoke pain, sadness but also makes us proud. 23 years after the crime, the women of Krusha represent an inspiration and a model of prevailing evil,” Osmani said.
She said that Krusha e Madhe and the entire state of Kosovo will live
always with the memory for all those fallen for freedom. The President of
Kosovo said that those fallen for freedom represent the strength of Kosovo to
move forward. In March 1999 Serbian forces massacred 243 civilians and burned
