Kosovo Police seen patrolling with armored vehicles in the north

The Kosovo Police are seen patrolling with armored vehicles in northern part of the country Saturday after their members came under fire and attacked over the last few days, Gazeta Express reports.

Kosovo Minister of Internal Affairs Xhelal Svecla, and General Director of the Kosovo Police Samedin Mehmeti, during a joint press conference Friday stated that the two police cars have been attacked with hand grenades and Kalashnikovs near the border with Serbia. They said that at least one of the attacks is suspected of coming from Serbian territory.  

A T7 TV crew has visited the northern municipality of Leposavic and saw two Kosovo Police armored vehicles patrolling the area. Gazeta Express has asked the Kosovo Police on whether they have stepped up their presence following the incidents but received no answer. /GazetaExpress/
