Kosovo PM Hoti: Thaci knows I will lead the dialogue

Prime minister Avdullah Hoti in an interview with T7 show Pressing said that he will lead Kosovo team in dialogue with Serbia adding that President Hashim Thaci, who so far was in charge of negotiations, knows this.

Hoti said the Constitution clearly states the prime minister leads the dialogue, and even stated that he will not transfer these competencies to anyone. “If you read the Constitution is clear on who should be leading the dialogue process, the President knows this. I will fully exercise my competencies, and I will not transfer them to anyone,” Hoti said. “The President knows exactly who should lead the dialogue,” Hoti stressed.  

Further Hoti said the dialogue agenda between Kosovo and Serbia is fully coordinated with the European Union and the United States. “Grenell has explained it very well, the dialogue agenda is fully coordinated between the EU and US,” Hoti said referring to an interview Grenell gave to Gazeta Express stating that he is coordinating with the France and Germany on dialogue.

Hoti said that he will push forward economic and political agenda in coordination with the EU and US. “The EU and US are our key partners. We should move forward an economic agenda supported by the US and through the EU we should move forward the political process of the dialogue,” Hoti said.

Kosovo Prime Minister said that Washington meeting between Kosovo and Serbia set on 27 June will explain a lot of things and reminded the Washington meeting will be followed by the Paris Summit expected to be held by mid-July. /GazetaExpress/
