Hoti, met on Wednesday the EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Oliver
Varhelyi, PM’s Office confirmed.
According to a press release of
the Kosovo Government the main topic of discussion was visa liberalisation. “PM
Hoti stressed the urgent need of concluding this process, as one of the most
important issues for Kosovo in its relations with the European Union,”
according to the Government’s statement. Hotu emphasised that Kosovo citizens
are committed to the Euro-Atlantic integration adding that the EU should take
necessary steps and enable Kosovo citizens move freely.
Hoti and Commissioner Varhelyi
discussed also on political developments, and economic recovery after COVID-19
pandemic, including here talks on serious infrastructure projects, which are
not part of the recovery package.
Also, Commissioner Varhelyi in a Tweet confirmed meeting with Hoti saying that he had good exchange on fight against COVID-19, preparations for Economic and Investment Plan to be put forward in autumn and regional cooperation. “Also agreed on working together on strong reform agenda for Kosovo,” Varhelyi said. /GazetaExpress/
