Kosovo Parliament fails to ratify three international agreements due to lack of quorum

The Parliament of Kosovo failed Friday to ratify three international agreements due to lack of quorum.

The ratification of international agreements requires two third of votes of a 120-seated Parliament of Kosovo, but during today’s session only 52 MPs took place in the voting. The Parliament has failed to ratify the Draft Law on ratification of the Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and International Development Association regarding the financing of the program – promotion and advancement of opportunities for water security.

Also due to lack of quorum  the Parliament failed to ratify the Vital Emergency Liquidity Loan Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and; Finance Contract between the Republic of Kosovo and the European Investment Bank for the Wastewater Plant Project in Gjilan.

The Parliament of Kosovo during plenary session Friday failed to include in its agenda 35 unfinished items from previous plenary sessions which were also were not addressed due to lack of quorum. Today’s session was not attended by MPs of Serbian community represented by the Srpska List. /GazetaExpress/
