Vetevendosje leader and former prime minister, Albin Kurti, remains skeptical that Kosovo-Serbia meeting set to take place in Washington 2 September will produce any result. Kurti says the US President Donald Trump’s special envoy on Dialogue, Richard Grenell, is acting like a “cowboy” desperate for a last-minute success ahead of the US Presidential elections in November.

Kurti in a Facebook post said the US envoy on Kosovo-Serbia dialogue is acting like a “cowboy” who does not care about the history of Kosovo. “In January, this year Grenell changed the US position and abandoned all conditions towards Serbia in relation with Kosovo. Grenell approached Kosovo-Serbia dispute as a finance cowboy who does not care about the history of Albanians, their suffering and loses,” Kurti said. Kurti said that those who want to go to Washington, referring to Kosovo prime minister Avdullah Hoti who is expected to represent Kosovo, have no legitimacy and any potential deal signed at the White House would be futile. /GazetaExpress/
