Kosovo officially initiates procedures for Council of Europe membership bid

The Government of Kosovo has approved Thursday the initiative for membership into the Council of Europe, Gazeta Express reports.

The Government in a meeting held Thursday morning obliged the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Daispora to launch all necessary procedures for membership into the Council of Europe based on the applicable laws, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement.

“The Government of the Republic of Kosovo during an online  meeting has approved in principle the Initiative for Kosovo’s membership in the international organization Council of Europe,” according to the press release. /GazetaExpress/
