Kosovo needs a government of unity not elections, says President Thaci

Kosovo president Hashim Thaci said next week he will start consultations with parties represented in parliament to form new government after Parliament toppled Albin Kurti’s Government in no-confidence vote on Wednesday.

Thaci speaking to media after visiting Friday the Students dorms transformed into quarantine for all those returning from abroad as a measure to prevent spread of coronavirus, said that as of next Monday he will invite political leaders to consultations on forming new Government. Thaci said that he will consider all options in order to eliminate early elections at the time the country is facing coronavirus crisis. “The outgoing government should continue carry out its duties. We need a government of unity in order to carry out needed reforms,” Thaci said. /GazetaExpress/
