Isa Mustafa, leader of the LDK confirmed on Tuesday that internationals, namely ambassadors of QUINT and the European Union are insisting Kosovo form new government as soon as possible.
After hosting British Ambassador to Kosovo, Nicholas Abott on Tuesday, Mustafa told media that ambassadors are interested Kosovo have its new government as soon as possible.
“Embassies are interested for Kosovo to have a new government and that is why they come and meet us. We are also interested to form a government soon,” Mustafa told Indeksonline.
The Steering Committee of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) will convene today to discuss on potential coalition with the Vetevendosje after their leader Albin Kurti has been nominated for prime minister. “We will try to find a way to conclude a deal,” Mustafa said. The Vetevendosje and LDK despite negotiations have failed to reach a deal on sharing powers in new government. On Monday Kosovo president Hashim Thaci has officially nominated Albin Kurti for prime minister. According to the Constitution of Kosovo, Kurti has 15 days to propose a government at the Assembly. /GazetaExpress/
