Kosovo, Israeli Ambassadors meet in Zagreb

In a ceremony at the White House on September 4, document was signed that resulted in the establishment of mutual diplomatic recognition between Israel and Kosovo.

During a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Kosovo prime minister Avdullah Hoti, the US President called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and congratulated the two leaders on the decision to establish full diplomatic relations. According to a statement of the Israeli Government issued afterwards, Hoti also announced that Kosovo would open an embassy in Jerusalem.

This conversation was followed with other direct contacts between Kosovo and Israeli authorities. On Wednesday Kosovo has officially started diplomatic communication with Israel. Kosovo’s Ambassador to Croatia, Gezim Kasapolli, has announced that he met Israeli Ambassador to Zagreb, Ilan Mor. “The first official meeting with the Isareli Ambassador in Croatia, Ilan Mor,” Kasapolli wrote on Facebook.

The meeting has been confirmed on Twitter also by the Israeli Ambassador. “Today, I had the honor pleasure to welcome to our Embassy, my friend, H.E Ambassador Gezim Kasapolli of Kosovo. We exchanged greetings regarding the establishing full diplomatic relations between our countries and exchange thoughts about our future cooperation,” Mor said. /GazetaExpress/
