Kosovo honors Donald Trump with Freedom Order

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci on Friday awarded the Freedom Order to US President Donald Trump for his role and contribution in country’s freedom and strengthening of peace and stability in the region.

Thaci also invited Trump to visit Kosovo in a near future, the Kosovo President’s Office said in a statement, Gazeta Express reports. Thaci in his letter addressed to Trump said the agreement on economic normalization between Kosovo and Serbia without President Trump’s strong leadership. Thaci also thanked the National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien and Turmp’s special envoy on dialogue, Richard Grenell for their work on reaching the agreement between Kosovo and Serbia on September 4 at the White House. Two Trump aids were awarded the Kosovo Presidential Medal of Merits for their contribution of striking the deal.  

Thaci assured Trump that Kosovo remains committed to sustainable peace and long-term prosperity in the Western Balkans. “On behalf of the people of Kosovo, it is my pleasure to invite you visit Kosovo and be convinced on the progress we have achieved here. It would be a great honor to welcome and present the most pro-American people in the world,” Thaci wrote in his letter addressed to Trump. /GazetaExpress/
