Kosovo Government to lead the dialogue with Serbia, says Speaker Osmani
Speaker of Kosovo Parliament, Vjosa Osmani, hosted Tuesday a delegation of France and Germany, headed by Jan Hecker, advisor to Chancellor Angela Merkel, and Emmanuel Bonne, advisor to President Emmanuel Macron.
Osmani said Kosovo remains committed to
good neighbourly relations, implementation of the agreements reached so far and
conclusion of dialogue with Serbia which would result in mutual recognition.
Osmani emphasised the dialogue process should be headed by the Government of
Kosovo as foreseen by the Constitution. According to Osmani also Serbia should
prove to be interested in good neighbourly relations and normalisation of
relations with Kosovo, by stopping its illegal campaign of derecognition of
Kosovo and dropping non-tariff barriers.
Osmani also asked French and German
delegation support Kosovo on visa liberalisation. She said Kosovo has fulfilled
all the criteria in this process whereas the Government and institutions
elected on 6 October elections are demonstrating their commitment in fighting
organised crime and corruption, according to a press release of the Parliament
Representatives of France and Germany,
Bonne and Hecker said their countries are committed to help and support Kosovo succeed
